Do not have a lot to say but FS says I have to write a long something or they will not send it on. So what to say ... enjoyed the read. Thought it well done and I enjoyed the read. Hope that is enough. That's my 2 cents worth.

Ugh! I have just those normal slugs (big ones!) and I am putting slug bait out every time it stops raining! Hope you put in more plants with slug bait and get to see some beautiful plants soon!

I planted romaine two days ago, and yes, I sprinkled salt all around them! We'll see if it works!

Hello, Aiona,
I heard the beer thing for snails but I guess it can work for slugs to. The snail goes in the bowl gets saturated in beer and drowns. ð??¬

Oh! The frustration and anger. I remember when I was a kid, we did the same thing, seeds of watercress in carton egg cups It all came so nicely and quickly. Mom had us put the cartons outside in the garden, to have the soft May-rain on it. The next morning we were promised to harvest...but the slugs already beat us!

Oh! The frustration and anger. I remember when I was a kid, we did the same thing, seeds of watercress in carton egg cups It all came so nicely and quickly. Mom had us put the cartons outside in the garden, to have the soft May-rain on it. The next morning we were promised to harvest...but the slugs already beat us!

Thanks, Marjon. I will try beer. Then at least if it doesn't work, I'll have something to put into my pizza crust. (I heard beer makes it rise more. Something about the acidity.)

This is to true and happens to the best of us. If it is not slugs, it is ants, or lady bugs, or some other creepy crawley. Moth balls help somewhat. Bowls of sweet like beer with hopps, attracts them to the beer and away from the plants. Sometimes.
