Well done on your win - the sparse story tapped the horror vein really well. He sure got dealt to by those kitty cats. I'll have to check out people's tattoos before I badmouth or molest them.

This is indeed a spooky story and should do well in the Horror writing contest. I generally do not read horror stories, but the tattoos drew me in. I read to the end. Good luck in the contest.

Dear Mystery Writer,

Wonderfully tight and crisp writing made this a very enjoyable read. *smile* NOW I understand why folks might want to get those yucky tattoos!!! It had been escaping me this whole time. Man. I am so dense.

I wonder if all the parlors have this ability or just a few. Gonna need to do a little research.

Excellent imaginative "horror reversed". I didn't even feel sorry for the "victim". Very original and I really enjoyed it. Maybe could use a bit more atmospheric detail, but my favorite horror read so far.

Oh, I wish I had a six left for this. I got goose-bumps as I was reading it. I'm not one for tattoos, but these are so handy I might have to reconsider. If you don't win this one, I will be surprised.
