well you are the winningest gal! Congratulations on first place, and for being recognized!
That is a lovely poem and picture, too. I'm glad to know that Mother Earth has a soul. Always thought she must, to nourish so many things.
Glad you're enjoying summer break.

Hi Yvette,
Magnificent imagey of rose's tears soothing Earth's soul, wafts
through the senses, elevating spirits heightened gratifications..
fantastic creation for this 3-5-3 poem dear! Thanks for sharing..
Sorry to have been missing so many of your stupendous writes,
have been keeping close tabs on sister in CA. who had heart
surgery just as Cov-19 virus broke out; and is in a very weakened
state yet, besides keeping up with own schedules, etc..
Miss you loads, but will be trying to get on line more often and
do more of your awesome treasures, from such a fathomless
mind and even more insatiable curiosity and creativity!
Love, blessings always, Ronni (:) (;)

Oh, Ronni - you are such a lovely friend to say those things - THANK YOU (and I am humbled, my lady... truly). But I want to know how your sister is...? I do hope that things are going in the right direction for her - need some happy and blessed news to brighten the days. I will be sure to keep her close in thought and prayer - and you should know that you are never far from my thoughts and if you're not online regularly, it's no worries, my lady!! I'll be in and out this summer as well as we would like to put our house on the market soon... but we shall see! ;) Take care of you out there and pop in when you have a chance!! ;) :) Be sure to get outside and breathe in the fresh air and soak in the sunshine - it's a beautiful world out there! ;) Yvette

    Hi dear Yvette,
Thanks for the lovely reply and appreciations dear!!!!
    My sister is much improved,
go here set up in a 24/7
    assisted care facility staffed
by dedicated Benedictan Order of nuns, so you know
what great caretakers they are. She liked it right away too, so that is another plus
    to her getting well too.
    Thanks for your concern and
    prayers in her behalf dear,
    sincerely appreciated by both
    of us and gratefully touched!
Will be popping in more now
that she is on mend, and
    reviewing back and forth and
    keeping in touch virtually one
way or another. Already getting out more in fresh air
and R&R in between, as I
hope you are too dear friend!
    Love, blessings, Ronni (:) (;)

Congratulations on your first place winning. The image and expressive words are so well written as usual. Roses are the most gorgeous flower around and will enlighten anyone's day.

What a beautiful photo! The text is clean and pristine and views dew in a spiritual way. The colors are amazing! So inspiring!
I always learn so much from how and what you write. Thank you so much for your heart of mentoring.

Awwwww I love the imagery here! So perfectly done and presented! It's soft and warm and I get such a feeling of how amazing nature truly is. Yes, those dew drops seem to just bead and float down to the earth, just waiting to soak up! I wake quite early...just to watch the sunrise. My garden is very whimsical, cottage style-ish..lol anyway, when the sun hits the blades of grass the right way, you can see a billion dewdrops sparkling in the sun...slightly hunched over, just waiting to fall. Your little poem reminds me of that!!! Thank you for the lovely read this morning.

Well, Susan, you just started my weekend off on a wonderful note - smile and all!! ;) :) I am so very glad I could give you a gentle memory as well as something to look forward to with this 'shorty' this morning - that is probably the greatest bit of news a writer covets, yeah?! ;) :) Thank you for the bright stars and the time you took to give such an awesome review, my lady - may you have a sunshiny weekend wherever you are!! :)

Wow! I love it! There is a double interpretation of the word "roses" in this 3/5/3 poetical offering due to its haiku natural connotation of the roses that cry the "dew tears" and soothing the Earth's soul but there is a senryu connotation of the roses which become "women and mothers" crying their tearing tears soothing the dolorous soul of our Mother Earth.
Not being a contest entry the first line could sound better adding:

as the dew falls,
roses' silent tears
soothe Earth's soul

Chapeau Poetess!

Yes, but it is a contest entry. :) ;) ;) :) Thank you so very much for this awesome review and actually looking beyond the words on the page -- you are the first to actually do that, Tony. :) ;) ;) Have a wonderful day over there, sir - take care!! ;) :)

Never thought of roses having dew tears. Interesting. The dew does make the plant life take on a new clean look while watering them at the same time. Good poem!

Hello my friend

Lovely 3/5/3 poem entry for the contest. Good syllable count. I like the presentation. The lines connect grammatically and flow nicely. Good luck.

Beautiful and refreshing. A well-written 3-5-3. It flows nicely and good alliteration with the letter 's'. I love the wording of 'silent tears'. Lovely presentation. Great title. Best wishes in the contest!

Hello Yvette. Using the dew drops from the roses as metaphorical tears watering the Earth's soul is a clever idea. I read it as a 3-5-3 style.
