A beautiful rainbow photo sets the stage. I thought the first line was very good. At first read I missed the Gay Pride and pot of gold luck references. The second line clearly conveys the Genesis story. However the third line brings down the entire work. As written it seems to be an affirmation of God's word. An exclamation would be more meaningful such as "Promise eternal!" Share the excitement of God's love. A great start but need to adjust the third line.

There are several ways to look at this message. One could visualize a rainbow standing in front of pride and luck, like attorney, to argue in favor of clemency. Or, maybe the rainbow in the context of it's crowning glory over the Earth after the flood where the proud people drowned and Noah's family were lucky. But Noah had great faith...Also, Jesus went down into Sheol to preach to the people who had died in the flood so that was lucky. The rainbow could have contained a promise in reference to that.
Nice to have new food for thought. Photo is gorgeous! Nothing to improve.
Well done!

The rainbow was certainly one of God's promises to Noah and to mankind. Thank you for your review. 8-)

Faith stands way ahead of Pride and Luck. It is often likened rather to Hope and Love, which have much more power and thus can match up to Faith more closely. Good luck.

Those references were to the 'pride' parades that use the rainbow for their symbol as well as the leprechauns for their 'lucky' gold... Thank you so much for your review! 8-)

you are not wrong there
He promises...He delivers
it is only the interpretations of His true and perfect promises which get all screwed up
your poem has a good powerful punch in few words
have a smiley day

I like this poem of faith that focuses on the fact that God still gives us rainbows as a promise that he will never again destroy the earth with water. However, he also promises that it will be destroyed by fire at some point. However, through faith in Christ we don't have to worry about that either. Bill

This 5-7-5, Colorful Covenant, has the right set up and reminds all who can see it and know why it's there that all that's connected to it is still in play.

Yup before the rainbow belonged to Him, now we took over that heavenly symbol too. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest and with your writings.
