Wow, nine kittens! This actually made me feel quite sad for the male cat as he is almost pushed to one side. I liked how he compares himself to chopped beef, demonstrating how useless she must think he is. I thought it was really well written.

This is a fun write about these cats, although I didn't quite understand what a nursing nine meant? Cats often squabble between themselves. I enjoyed the internal rhyming here, very clever, love Dolly x

Thank you so much for the review and the comments. The mama had nine kittens and only eight places for the kittens to get their milk. One little kitten kept getting left out and didn't make it. Actually both the female and the male cat were very protective of the litter. These are very expensive cats. As of last week, all the kittens had new homes and the male has his playmate back. I hope he doesn't get her pregnant again soon.

It seems like a slightly translated story, we've had a cat or two over the years, but only the domestic variety, except for one pedigreed Persian who fitted in very well. We mostly had them desexed. But this is a very clever, rhyming poem, that fascinates. Well written, excellently entertaining entry, in 10/8/10/8 abab rhyming delicacy, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

This state of affairs seems to have wiped the smile of the Sphynx , left out in the desert by his missus. Most unfair! As every male knows, looking after nine kids is no problem. LOL
