Poems like this one are what we need right now. A sweet, loving poem of how nature reminds us that God is always there. Even when we can't see him. And apple trees... I love them! Amazing writing!

Beautifully written, Rod - congratulations on your placing in the contest. I love Monet's work. You have descriptively captured the art depicted, as well as bringing in a personal feeling of spiritual reverence.

This is a lovely poem written so well I can envision each verse in my mind's eye. You incorporated the color in naturally and described what you saw and thought perfectly. Very enjoyable.

This is a finely rhymed poem filled with the pleasure of sitting inside an orchard watching the wildlife and taking in the fresh air. I struggled with line eight as it is not in metre and didn't make sense. Maybe: (an audience of one to please). Love Dolly x

Dolly, thank you so much for your very kind praise and that terrific suggestion. I struggled for hours with that line, knowing it was not quite ?right? when I finished.
    Your solution is perfect.

What a wonderful poem you wrote. It reminds me of springtime and the budding of apple blossoms on the trees. The colors are gracious and give us the feeling of warmth.

This is beautiful and I love the message conveyed in it. You can see the beauty of God's creation as you've so eloquently stated in this. It is so beautiful and full of life this time of year and you can perhaps sense Him walking in the midst of it. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Hello anon, this is a beautiful poem with the touches of colour required for the contest. On top of this, your descriptive wording is so well done with good rhyme and rhythm throughout. A very peace provoking poem with the added picture of Monet's which suits your poem so well. A lovely ekphrastic poem. Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy x

A very well-written short and colorful poem while sitting in the orchard observing all the colors we can see from there are amazing and we can just look around ourselves to see a different colorful scene.
