Awe - I adore this love poem to your husband (I assume this is non-fiction. Either way, I enjoyed your attention to meter. Love the rhyming words: unsurpassed/miscast

I wonder, do you need an "s" on turn? (our hair turn gray,)

Thank you for your review and suggestion, but it is, indeed, spelled as meant. Appreciate your time. :) :)

This is such a beautiful reflection. Your rhyming and storytelling at the same time, all syncs very well. The art supplied hints at what is to come, which is a very apt portrayal.

'He still says I'm his everything, e'en as we age, our hair turn gray,
And I have never missed my wings for love's the magic in our days."
These words are heartfelt.

Good story, well told, and tightly rhymed, and very well reflected. The story sounds like it could be biographical, it sounded like a coup de foudre moment but I didn't see any alcohol mentioned:). Really good poem, good luck.

A magical story Yvette and I enjoyed your rhyming and flow and most of all the sentiments here. A dreamy write.

Just one suggestion for you:

He still says I'm his everything, e'en as we age, our hair turn(s) gray,

Love Dolly x

Good grief woman, have mercy. Everyone is dishing out the romantic stuff these days and this is no exception. So sweet and endearing. I adore this one and much like my own story. I was robbed of bag and baggage by my sweet man. Hair of white and love so sweet....
Superb, and aptly illustrated.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the contest,
Sal xoxo

Congratulations on completing the school year and letting your sentiments run free. My husband and I actually experienced this fairytale at a college reunion forty-eight years ago. We did not know each other in school, but were married four months later! Thanks for the rhymes and the memories. Best wishes in the Story Poem contest- Joan

That was really lovely, Yvette. A fairy falls in love with a human man, in more ways than one, :)), and gives up her wings to be with him. That is such a lovely story in a poem, and I could imagine it in a prose novel. So romantic. Well done, my friend, this is a wonderful contest entry, and I wish you the very best of luck! :)) Sandra xxx

No more prose suggestions - lol!! ;) Gonna take a few days for the fantasy juices to get up to speed (and the brain to rest after the craziness of the school year) and then I'll be back in business.... just maybe we could get my husband out of the house again fulltime - lol!! ;) :) Take care, my lady!! ;)

Oh, I was going to, I'd started writing Garden ...., and then thought you might swim the pond and come and pop my nose if I kept on at you again!!! LOL! I have the same husband problem, bless them! Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Have a lovely day!

Hey Yvette. Great story in a poem. The narrative combines many events in the life of a person in love. The poem concludes with a happy ending that starts in youth and finishes in the golden age. Well told story.

Good luck in the contest.
