"Jesus Our Saviour", is an exceptionally well-written and spiritually-uplifting piece. To me, this is definitely a six. I look forward to reading your next post. Good luck in the contest!

Thi cinquain one could offer up as a prayer. The rules have been met as to syllable count. I liked that you have the repeated "f" sound at the end. Nothing to really fault as the rules have been met.

I really love your poem and your presentation is beautiful with an excellent choice of artwork and the black/gold colors.

The only thing I want to point out to you (which can be very easy to miss) is that the contest is calling for a specific form for line 3...
Line 3: 6 syllables- 3 gerunds (ing verbs)
(I only recently learned what a gerund was! LOL)

I would hate to see this very fine and inspirational poem disqualified for not meeting that! You need three verbs ending in 'ing', such as living, loving, saving. (Feel free to use that if you like it) or choose any three 'ing' verbs that fit for you.

I'll look forward to reading the revised version, too, and wish you the best in the contest! Blessings, Sue P. :)

    Sue,

Thanks so much for your honest review, I received a notice from the committee and have just completed by corrections (I hope it is correct now) my eight syllable line was incorrect as well. I was to use 4 words (8 syllables) to describe the subject.
Thanks so much for your kindness.

    Hugs...

A very nice poem reminding us of what He did for us to forgive our sins and show us how we can have faith in His father. He died for us so one day we could enter Heaven and be with God. The only way to the Father is through Jesus!
nice poem!

A very well-written Cinquain about the Savior Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life like a lamb to save us from our sin. The ultimate prize to show His unconditional love for our sins.

Just a few words and you narrated Christ's whole life. It was touching and so true indeed. It is so sad that in our way we betray Him so much in our lives...

These are well-chosen words for this lovely Cinquain poem. Jesus suffered in agony so that we could come to live with his Father. The least we can be is thankful and try our hardest to live as He would want us to. Well done, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra xx

This certainly deserves a six, bit unfortunately, I have used them all. In a very few words, you have completely described our Lord. I am a sucker for spiritual poems and this is among the best.
