You have completed the requirements for a 5-syllable/ 7- syllable/ 5-syllable poem.
A great picture with your poem. Incredibly understandable and amusing!
Best of luck in the 5-7-5 poetry contest.

This one is certainly the most humorous one posted for this contest. Luckily, my children will be doing the posting with my grandchildren. LOL. It must be especially tough for parents with school-age kids.

Oh, I'm sure. Same thing on this end, my daughter has to deal with this dilemma, not me. Lol. I really appreciate the generous stars and review, Mark. I hope everything is going good on your end.

Some may not find this very funny but I find it hilarious. I've worked with children my whole career. I can't imagine being locked in, especially on rainy days. That may be why my mother let us put our bathing suits on and run out into the warm rain. Or why she sent us out to make mud dams for the mud puddles. Or why she let us do many fun things. She "ran away" up the street, turned around and came in through the cellar and up the stairs. We thought we'd lost her for good. She could neither seel herself or us...that was PCL... pre-Craig's List. I am voting for this. If some of the readers are parents, you may get more votes than expected..lol

There are times when that seems a really good idea - as your accompanying picture shows! There was a lot to be said for the Edwardian idea of having the little perishers brought in for a goodnight kiss by Nanny, who had nobly been doing her Mary Poppins act all day. A bit of magic certainly helps!
