That is funny! And though we are adopted by the neighbor's cat and she doesn't sleep with us - yet I think I get the picture! Congratulations on placing in the contest!

    Thank you, Helen! AsI type, my cat is swishing his tail back and forth across the keyboard. Carzy cat! HE's mad because I just pused him off the computer desk for walking across said keyboard and creating his own language. lol

Ha ha ha! This is funny and cats have a habit of turning their backs on us when they are displeased and show us in no uncertain terms that they are miffed! Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Oh, Deb I so get this! I have a quilt on my list of must makes that looks much like this hilarious illustration. Your poem is perfect, especially, the last line. Tabu tried to sleep on my face lol.Very creative! Wish I had a sixer for you! Good luck in the contest ;)

    Okay, so if this is a blind contest, how did you know this was me!? lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate that you bookcase it. And thank you for complimenting the illustration! That took me longer than the silly poem! (I was actually worried that I might not get it in on time because I was still tiger-striping the cat! lol)

Nice one! And, as you said, who owns a cat, will understand. Truth is, I have four cats. All with different characters, all adorable. There is one who warns me in the morning that it is time for me to give him his food...and he jumps on my bed to tell me so. So yes, I understand.

    We have three and a dog, who thinks that either he's a cat or that the cats are all just miniature dogs. lol. They''re sue a fun addition to our family.

    I sometimes feel I am living in a zoo. Four cats and three dogs. All rescued from a local shelter. Now they all play together in my big garden.

This is certainly a humorous short poem, and a very suitable contest entry. I did not find the words too vulgar, and I appreciated the laugh. The picture was a nice addition.

A very well-written fun 5-7-5 poem about the morning surprises we can depend on when we have a cat in the house. Sometimes we get much more than what we expected.

Hahahaha. Omg I DONT have a cat but I did find this pretty hilarious!!!! Love the humor in this one. And the picture. Funny yet tasteful. Some cat butts are, well, gross haha.

    And I appreciate you reading but do take exception iwht one word in your review...SOME cat butt are gross. Nope ALL cat butts are gross. Especially when you see them up close and personal at 7 AM! haha
