Yes, winter is the regeneration and virtual hibernation and restoration for the new life's production of the spring, it's like Christ lying three days in the grave, although he was elsewhere preaching to the captives, to rise again. Beautifully written, love white quilts metaphor, well done blessings Roy

This was a short but regal ode. Well thought out. Clearly and creatively written. Good alliterations with regenerative-rest and winds white. Nice visual imagery. Majestic. Good luck in the contest :)

Nothing more comforting than a soft, fluffy quilt on a cold winter's night. Your imagery captured that as the earth sleeps quietly neath the snow. Well done!

Sweet Dreams

Hello my friend

Oooo....I love your ode to winter. It's haikuish in the best sense. Very nice presentation too. Great imagery. Well done.

The author's words are descriptive, interesting and creative. The poem
reminds me of winter in New York. The first two lines of this poem flow and connect well. The last line put it all together! Have a great weelend!

A very well-written 5-7-5 ode to winter that us needed for the earth to rest until Spring comes back and the earth and nature wake-up well rested and renewed to start the cycle once again.

yes a real sense of the approach of the dormant season of the year here in this Ode to Winter as earth rests from her labours - and a lovely description of the earth under snow

-Nice image and
presentation.
-The syllable count is good.
-Effective imagery that paints
a vivid word picture of winter.
-Good use of alliteration, and
a very good concluding line,
personifying the snow as
"frosted white quilts."
-A good entry; good luck.

Your free flowing words present colorful imagery of our snow blanketed earth in winter's grasp. An appropriate winter scene enhances your theme.
A most promising writing prompt entry.
Best Wishes!
