    Oh, Joan!! I have two celiacs out of my three sons and I've been making them waffles (and crackers and cookies and bread...) for over two decades now! And, yes, there are frozen brands out there too, but you make it down my way anytime and we'll have waffles and pure maple syrup!! Take care and thanx for the review! :)

What a great poem! and perfect food! If I could eat from the page, it would already be gone. I really enjoy syllable poems and find them challenging. You did a great job of conveying a delicious treat.

I've never had ice cream on my waffles, but now you make me want to try it. Butter pecan sounds like the perfect choice. My mouth is watering.

Not only do you 'make 'em smile' but you also make 'em drool. This is a sweet (no pun intended) piece that I very much enjoyed reading. You have a nice bit of alliteration in the first two words (hot/homemade); and you chose an excellent photo to accompany your poem. EXCELLENT!
