Excellent work Lisamay. Topical write using an extended metaphor that uplifts and inspires. I very much liked your notes on New Zealand's handling of the pandemic.
Congratulations on your successful completion of the writing challenge.
Stay safe and healthy.

Thank you very much for your supportive comments. I enjoyed the undertaking - a month of writing passed quite quickly. I actually quite like keeping out of everyone's way. I like peace and quiet.

Thanks for your review. Uh oh! I changed that last verse just recently. Thanks for the catch!

This 5-7-5 suite, Staying Afloat, has the right set up and sends the readers out to sea with the wind at our backs and a fair wind.

Take aways - a new phenomen and prob. not all that safe either . we need to get outside - hike, walk the dog, live normally. we live in an area that makes that possible and I thank God for that.

A very well-written 5-7-5 suite about the time of isolation that provides us enough time to think where we are heading for the future. If we don't have a conclusion yetr have to get one soon.

I wish I could say the same about our 'team captain'. Yes I know he has suffered but his natural reaction is to act like a headless chicken and stammer out gobbledygook when all about him are managing to keep their heads.
congratulations on completing the Na-po-wri-mo thing.

Hi LisaMay -
I'm glad to hear things are going well for your country on the Covid front. They have started relaxing things a bit here in Alaska, too. I fear it might be a bit too soon, but I also understand that our economy needs people to get back to a semblance of normal, too. Although, I suppose it could take a very long time for things to really regain normalcy. Thanks for sharing your poems this month!
Good luck in the contest!

I like these seafaring 5-7-5 poems in regards to the Corona pandemic, Lisa May. Trying to stay afloat, plotting a new course, hoping we aren't on a leaky boat, all work really well.In Queensland we too have had some restrictions easing off as of tonight. Interesting to see if that all works,
stay well,
cheers,
valda

I like a lot how you wrote these tidbits of wisdom. There is lots of inspiration as well. I think we must keep aloat by any means we have, depending, of course in our strengths.

I like your analogy of bailing the boat to stay afloat and all being in this together, which we certainly are. Your post is well written. Our immediate task is to stay put, but realistically we will have to open our country's economy soon. Marilyn
