What a lovely 'take' on this perhaps not uncommon happening. I wanted to say winged (two syllables), maybe because it is easier to say than the one-syllable pronunciation. I am not familiar with the term 'aces.' Can you tell me what you meant by it? I ADORE 'moth spotlight disco.' EXCELLENT!!!

Aces are top-notch pilots... Thank you for your review!

This nature 5-7-5, Winged Chaos Shimmers, has the right set up and finds the dazzling death lights that bring the moths in to draw too close to the heat.

Hello my friend
I live your entry for the Write a Nature 5-7-5 writing prompt contest. The presentation is beautiful. The Syllables count is right. Nice connection between lines. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, WOW! That's amazing. :)
I used to love to watch the moths darting in and out of the light...right up until my hubby told me that some of those moths' were bats! lol. Not really - still love it. :)
A wonderful entry to the contest!
Blessings, peace and health,
Deb

Very clever little poem. I've watched those summer bugs for many years and have never thought of writing poetry about them. Great job. Good luck in the contest. Shirley

I enjoyed this lighthearted entry for the 5-7-5 haiku on nature. You have made a unique observation here, likening the swarming moth to the appearance of a disco ball. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

LOL -- I think this is an image that will stay with me a long time. There are certainly some beautiful moths, but I never considered their flight around light to be dancing, and it is, it really is!

A very well-written nature 5-7-5 poem about the flying moths around the light with tiny wings they have a spotlight disco in the evening sky the only concert for miles to enjoy.

Your contest entry is in great form, Mystery Author. Your syllables are correct per line. The image is great. I like the black background (the night) with the white font (the light), Your words sum up this 'dance' nicely. Thanks for sharing and best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan

The first two lines of this Haiku are well grammatically described a scene in action from Nature and the third line is a fantastic description in action, but I think it does not appear to have an 'Aha' moment.
Typo:
haiku (winged chaos shimmers) (Haiku (Winged Chaos Shimmers) )
