It's Venus? I thought it was Mars...Shows what happens when you are neck deep in a deadline and don't look things up online! lol
I loved this. So far, it's my favorite. (YOu just stole the vote form another very well-written haiku!)

Oh, what a delightfully astronomical offering for the nature contest this evening... although I can't see Venus in the pic (could be the screen resolution, who knows?), I can easily picture what your envisioning! ;) Best of luck at the polls! ;)

I really like this, as far as I can see it meets all the requirements of the form. I like the way you have the third line working along side the other two, I find this hard to do, but this is a good example to follow.
