I really like this poem which clearly explains the fears many nursing home residents have as a result of lock-down. I assume the Speaker is a care-giver who, on site, truly understands what is going on. The last two lines are especially poignant to this reader. Rod

I work at a nursing home and their fear and loneliness is breaking my heart. Thank you so much for the nice review!

Terry, This is such a very sad reality in the nursing homes now. Thank you for sharing this with us. You used very good descriptive words and perfect art work. This just makes me so sad for them. love and prayers, Teri

Terry,
Honest hard truth runs through your poem. Your message needs to be heard so people do not forget or ignore this vulnerable group of precious people. I hope your poem gets printed where the public can grasp the enormity of this situation. Thank you for this heartfelt poem, it is needed and appreciated.
Many Blessings,

Hello Terry. You have caught the truth in a bottle with this poem. I have heard of how thee has been spread in senior care facilities. They are the most fragile in our society. They are fragile for many reasons.
This is very well written and is an exceptional poem. The rhyme and meter work through the poem. The message is golden.

Thank you Robert, I appreciate the kind words. I worked hard on the meter this time! Today was a very bad day there, which led me to this poem.

This is a touching story about the bleak situation in nursing homes, where residents who depend on family visits are being deprived of the same. It is a situation which must be endured, but for how long can they hold out?

It frightens me. Some are actually regressing and cry a lot.

I have no six for you but consider this a Virtual Six! You tug at hearts at all that is going on in nursing homes all over the country and how we grieve for the residents. Bless you for your compassionate heart! May the Lord comfort and clarify this situation to them.
