This is a good family fiction about love, I like the theme; the craft of producing a challenging prose challengingly is evident with good narrative taletelling, balanced plot development, incredibly practical dialogues, and soft and real-like characterization take up the gauntlet.

I loved the tit-for-tat between husband and wife. It lets people know those who are married develop the humorous criticism to get buy without an argument.
That said the way the author uses Theo one time and Teddy Bear the next one gets mixed up on if she are talking about an actual Teddy Bear or her husband

a poignant piece about a recent widower listening to the voice of his beloved, coaxing him to clean himself and the house up before his daughter and grandkids come to celebrate his birthday. Written in dialogue, it is more powerful than with straight prose.
The imagined dialogue between Theo and his deceased wife flows with happy teasing back and forth which seems to keep him moving and doing what he should. Nicely done.

This piece made me cry!! Such a beautiful story and message. I love how you bring Selene's prescence to life in the second half for Teddy. Such a beautiful story and so well written. It certainly was a tearjerker type story. I thought she was an invalid as she just gave the orders, but she was the spirit if the woman. Very awesome.
