Wow, Bill, this poem is really deep! There is a "you' that the individual sees and "you" that the world sees. Who is the real "you"?
Love this poem, Bill. Stay safe and healthy.

I enjoyed your contest poem. Your lines flow well with a great message. I like how you emphasized that one is influenced by what s/he sees and will make that decision herself/himself. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, such philosophical insight of fraction and refraction like a split personality searching for the best identity. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

-Good image, Bill.
-I like your poem, too,
with two verses to go
with the two images.
-The first one introduces
looking at yourself,
followed by who has the say.
-I like the message at the end, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

a very wise an much needed poem
your words speak a lot in so few
I often pray for people to sometimes stop even looking in mirrors
like youe poem says there are way too many intercessions and intrusions on the image we think we see
good luck in the contest

A poignant write as what people see in us is not always our outer shell, but our inner glow and this can be reflected in the way we act, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

A well written poem that show, or should I saw reflects, great wisdom. I am not an expert on physics; but, I wonder if "refraction" should have been "reflection". Just a thought - Jerry

Thanks for reviewing, Jerome. Refraction refers to the bending of the light that, in this poetic format, means how one is perceived.

Cool! I get it! Thanks - Jerry

Very good mirror poem. Indeed, looking in the mirror can be a very furtive glance or a more philosophic introspection. We may find out things about ourselves that we were not even aware of.
