I would if I could get in definitely go in and get the person out of there. I don't think that my conscience would be clear knowing I was right there looking at the situation and did nothing. I like the message conveyed in this and enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

You are so right, Jeffrey. Conscience would dictate my actions in a situation like this, too. I am delighted you enjoyed my story and its message. Rod

Hello my friend
Interesting short flash fiction about the Corona virus and human sacrifice. I think in an emergency I probably would react without thinking too much, especially if you know the person. Good job ð???

I am pleased to see you and my narrator are much alike in your thinking, Gypsy. Thank you so much for sharing RESCUE.

The description in this Hundred Word Story entry is particularly good, a picture being traced by very few words. It also has the positive point that the story twists smoothly away from fire to the current crisis.

This story, Rescue, uses the required words and the proper word count and tells a vivid story of saving a life even when danger still persists in the form of the virus.

Yes, the virus would be the last thing on my mind if I saw a fire in the neighbor's house. This is a thought provoking flash fiction. You wrote on a subject we should think about.

A very good story. We never know when we'll be called upon to do something heroic. In this case to save a neighbor from a fire. Interspersed dialogue, descriptions and story line are all excellent. Good luck in the contest. Marilyn

Dear Mystery Author,
Well, one would certainly hope! I think we all have to act immediately to care for and to protect our brothers and sisters in the world. My hope is that sending her into a hospital wouldn't be sending her to a worse place. Thanks! And good luck!

It's true that we can die of anything at all, the Corona virus has become all consuming, but in our local nursing homes, the residents are pining for lack of visitors, not eating, not doing that well, we miss our grandchildren terribly, well done, blessings, good luck, Roy

I liked this Flash Fiction. It was action packed. I like the idea of the hero with the bad heart and it's timely too. You used the Corona situation in it as well. Nicely done. Respectfully, -January L.
