Hi, Portia,
A very sweet poem.
When I was a child, we used to go barefoot all summer, and at least once during those months, we would get stung by a bee! We weren't mad, after all, we were interrupting his supper. Lol. I love your poem. It brings back such good memories. About 15 years ago, they gypsy month invaded our trees and almost destroyed them. They were all sprayed by the city, and the result was healthier trees, but our bees disappeared. The only bees we have here are on controlled honey farms.
I hope you are well. Best wishes.
Hugs,
Cindy

Wow, what a beautiful presentation! Also, it's information I did not know at sixty-eight years old, so that is most welcome learning.
Now, for your lovely poem, I have two minor suggestions. First, S1, L2 = "I'm seeking pollen without cease" gives you an eight syllable count (like all the other lines) and eliminates the need for "cease" to be the correct "ceases" grammatically.
Next, S2, L4 = for "rain"(perfect rhyme, rather than "rains"), I would simply say "the rain".
I hope you don't mind my suggesting these changes -- when I like something, I can't resist (LOL) and this is a charmer.

Love and cherish all living creatures on this earth. Bees are wonderful little insects helping us to fertilize our flowering trees and crops, so these will give us healthy fruits and vegetables.
The bees only want the pollen, don't harm the flowers, but will bring it to their nests and produce one of the most appreciated natural sweets: the honey.
Bees only will sting if they are in danger. So leave them alone and let them do their work.
The poem is about a carpenter bee and my comment on bees in general.
I love this little poem in honor of these most useful little creatures.

LOL! What a fun little verse about those little 'bomber pilots' that hover and spy with their loud, buzzing engines! ;) :) Thanx for sharing and best of luck at the polls! ;)
