This poem speaks both pain and joy, experience of becoming a mother, sad labour moments and happiness, joy and confidence after giving birth a baby; well said, well done.

How beautifully said! I loved this poem. I reminded me of the birth of my own son... now 30 years old. Sorry that you didn't have support at first, that must have been really upsetting. But, it seems that you got it later. I enjoyed the poem a lot. Respectfully, -January L.

It really is an effort rather a sacrifice that all the mother's in the world take to give birth to a child whom they are yet to know... It's really well written..Thanks for sharing

A very well-written poem for Mother's day. The memories of a first born and time to become a part of being a mother is the best thing than can happen to any young woman.

You did a great job, Dove, expressing that feeling of being alone at first then support showed to help you when your son was born. Your rhymes are good, there is good flow, the image is fitting, and your final message is of love for your son despite the pain of birth. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

I'm sure every mother who reads this lovely, touching piece will be nodding their heads--remembering the barrage of emotions that come with birthing a child.

Good morning. I enjoyed your poem immensely. People with children are so lucky as, if you do a good job, children will love you forever.
Best wishes to you and yours,
Cindy
Is that you in the photo? Very beautiful.

It is a sad time to be alone when you are having a baby but once the baby is born you are no longer alone! I enjoyed your sweet words here, love Dolly x

Dear Dolly, Thank you for your compliments and review. Dove You probably know from my other poems about my son that he was taken away from me and that I was alone with a mess, DSS and courts and psychiatric problems. I am also alone now since he doesn't want to hear from me. Love, Donna x
