Love the 5-7-5 collection for today's offering, LisaMay -- the employment here brings the reader's focus to the stark reality of of what our professionals are facing... thanx for sharing! ;) :) Yvette

A very well-written 5-7-5 suite about the every day heroes who put their own lives in danger to protect the greater population from the invisible enemy lurking around everywhere.

Strong words. I caught the emotion and connected wonderfully with the picture. Love the part about to "Serve and save, until the next wave." Our truest heroes.

You are right, LisaMay, about how they keep the hospitals and clinics up and running even when there was no virus. No with this unforgiving virus that has swept across the world, the medical personnel are heroes who put their lives on the line for others. Thanks for honoring them in the great suite of 575's. Respectfully, Jan

The doctors and nurses and first responders are for sure heroes in our day as they care for the sick patients we all should be proud of the job that they do. God bless and stay safe.

A fine tribute to our health workers and here in Spain we clap for them every evening at 7pm and have been doing that for a number of weeks. I would have to fall victim to this virus and I have kept indoors for 7 weeks now. I enjoyed your words here Lisa, love Dolly x

More than doing their job, this is a wonderful verse about all those persons incognito, not just the doctors but the crew that sweep the floors and empty the trashcan. Your series of haiku is wonderful.

They are to be commended - esp. in the large hospitals of the cities. In our town, only 12 beds in our hospital are filled - no elective surgeries but we do pray for those on the front lines.

You are saying all the right things in this poem. How daunting is their job? I cannot imagine getting up each morning to face another day of sickness and death. Where do these brave people come from? They are truly heroes.

This is a well written proper testament to our brave and selfless medical workers. I have a good friend who is a male nurse working in a convalescent home. His patients have been passing at an alarming rate, I cannot conceive how he can deal with it.
