I enjoyed your fun poem with a serious topic. Your lines read well with good rhymes and imagery. I counted twelve compliments. Your assigned topic was interesting and made for a great poem. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

A very well-written poem about complimenting all the people who work endlessly to keep most of us safe from the invisible threat that seems to go rampant and find the tiniest gap to enter our lives.

I am on overload with all the newscasts about the status of the pandemic, but I appreciated your paying compliments to all those fighting on the front lines. We are all in this together and that is why we will beat this challenge. Keep finding a "breath of fresh air"- Joan

Well done Alicia, the accolades for these measures are justified. Our government acted quickly and as a result there aren't many deaths from it, about a quarter came from one cruise ship blunder, but all the states closed borders quickly, and as a result have contained the malevolence. Well done beautifully written Alicia, blessings Roy

A sixer if I had a six, Alicia. Loved your positive write. Great job. It's humorous and compliments those who are actually doing something, especially our dedicated medical people. Being a Trumpite these are my favorite lines:
"President Trump's tie is perfect
It is plain, simple and solid
I see him, but he can't see me
Who would think we play peek-a-boo?
He always has great ideas
My president's one of a kind"

Yes!!!! I'm drinking Diet Coke too! And I LOVE how you give props to all of the leaders. This is a rough time. No one knows what they are doing. Great job!

At first this seems like a beautiful lighthearted right. Your language is rich and your descriptions are wonderful. I love the 'I bet you sweat glitter' line. However, I think your poem also has a more subtle deeper meaning - a critique of the status quo. Very well done!

I'm not sure how to read your poem - whether you are sincerely complimenting those talking heads on TV or if you are being sarcastic. When they tell me, "we're in this together" or "we're there for you" my response, is "No, you're not!" Oh, well. But I like your positive statements!

"They're truly my breathe of fresh air" (breath) I think you want the noun not the verb.

Hi Helen! I appreciate the edit note. I listen to them, but get bored and playful. My poem was sincere; believe it or not. Thank you.

I hope your nephew is holding up well and getting better. How are you doing?

    Hearts & hugs, Alicia

It's funny how this pandemic have switched the focus and attention to the invisible until now, that overnight become essential to our survival. Now when we ask our kids what do you want to become when you grew up - the answer is essential worker:) I like this part :"
I'm blessed to know plenty people
They're truly my breathe of fresh air
This ordeal changes me as a person
Thank you for being there as you"
Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings
