Satan tempted Eve by one word, "not". "You shall not surely die. From then on mankind has been subject to the curse. How different things would be if only Eve had listened.

I love the powerful message conveyed in this. He will indeed tempt us after we've left him and the scales being removed from our eyes, embrace truth. This is good work and I enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

You certainly have it right. This is a well-written poem of meaning. The temptations go on, but so does our saving grace keep us from submitting to the lure.

Blessings Raffaelina, thank you for your excellent rating and review. You're right the lure is always out there but so is the cure, God's word.

A very well-written poem about satan's ability to deceive the human to make them believe they are doing the right thing in the way he know how to find our most vulnerable side.

Yes this is true! I like your take on the original biblical story. This is written well and flows nice. It is correct in the format of the contest! I enjoyed it. Good job!

A lovely point of view seeing how Satan "feels" when we are saved. This is a very powerful message. For Satan rues discord and destruction, as you write. I like your symbolic photo accompaniment. Very good work. Best wishes.

Blessings Cindy and thank you for your excellent review and rating. I don't think Satan laments the fact that he loses any soul, but he laments the fact that every soul lost reminds him that his end is drawing nearer day by day and his desperation comes from knowing that his time are short.

Great job with this very well written poem about refusing to disregard the truth of God's word any longer. That is true that God's word is and always will be the truth by which we need to live. Bill

I have read several poems with this theme "temptation". Yours is by far the best. Poetically it is a gem. The message is clear and (of course!) God's Word prevails over the shrieks of Satan.
Reading your poem is a privilege, Roy. Thank you.

I really like the repetition in this poem. It is a very moving write with an effective choice of form and style. There is something wonderful(ly sad) about being 'Dead to the sun'. Well done and thank you for sharing!

My Beloved friend in Christ, such a writing as this, in my mind earns a 6 and more. You and I are on the same page walking in fellowship going the same direction to the same Eternal abode.
"If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away and behold all things are become new."
