Hello, my friend,
Good job with the 100-word dash flash fiction. I think the story is clever and for such a short story you managed to have a beginning, a middle, and an end... well done~

Thank you for your thoughtful review. ;-)

I enjoy playing Yahtzee. I enjoyed your contest entry, too, Mystery Author. You presented it well. I like how the narrator isn't identified until the last and it's a dog. That was unexpected; but, worked well. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

Awe very cute!!! I love how through the whole story I thought it was a kid you were writing about. But at the end it was a dog! And I treat my dog like she's my 4th child so I can relate to this. Good job

I love Yahtzee and this caught my eye! I actually have almost the exact same game on my shelf as displayed in your picture and I remember playing Yahtzee for many hours with friends growing up in camp. This story reminds me so well of those years and brings me back. Great work! I like the character development and they speak well in your write. The dog is a playful and cheerful addition. I can relate to being still in my undergrad with Dad still working, lol, but finding time to play Yahtzee. A good simple write to enjoy, A-

I think you bring all the characters vividly to life in this piece and the conversations, and feelings that you describe, are realistic and believable.

Thank you.

Very nice. It's not unusual for author's to employ the human/pet ruse in Flash, but you've elevated the genre with your entry.
Pets usually enjoy the attention they receive from a full house, but I can see there may be downsides, too.
Best of luck at the polls.
Peace, Lee

Funny, I was thinking that Danny is a little boy, that can not participate in that serious game. But then here it comes the surprise :"anny raised his sad Spaniel eyes toward Lacey. She sat down and rubbed his tummy.
"How's my Danny-Doggie?" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

What a delightful story, my friend. My dog watches everything I do. She sometimes gives me that look, 'what about me MOM??' and I have to stop and give my attention to her. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie
