You are right, Dove. Sometimes what one thinks is useless or trash will bring much joy to another who is without. Thanks for caring and sharing your idea. Your poem reads well with good rhymes and a heartfelt meaning.
Respectfully, Jan

Hello DoveMarie,

I pray you and your family are well during this pandemic. You chose great imagery to reflect your poem. Donating at any time is such a worthy cause and a way to help someone. There are always someone worst off than ourselves. I truly loving giving to help another person or a family. When we give, God will always give us back more. Spring cleaning is a good time to depart things we don't really needed. This is a well written poem. I like the line, "Remember that your gift
Gives someone else a lift." I didn't find any errors within your poem. Nice flow of your words. Thanks. Happy writing:-)

A very well-written poem about donating clothing and items we don't use anymore to less unfortunate people who cannot afford to provide for themselves.

I retired a year ago, and was able to donate over 20 large bags of clothing and leather bags and shoes, most of which were in excellent condition. However, I have a Dell computer, a desk top that I am trying to find a home for. It was nine years old but still working well when I erased all the data. It comes with a monitor and speakers. Any suggestions? I live in New York City. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this piece with the rhymes that work well.

Dear Susan, Thank you for your compliment and review. I've visited New York City. Such a giant, busy, rushed place! Maybe you can put a note up about it at a college and a student can take your computer. Dove

Thanks for sharing this creative encouragement to donate to the less fortunate ones. That is always a worthy cause, and I appreciate that you work there. Bill

You wish people should try to gift, donate anything to the needy always and during spring cleaning, thinking it Lord's invitation; well said, well done; thank you for sharing this.

Oh, this is such an important thing to teach our young ones, Dove -- so many kiddos want to 'hang' on to things beyond their usefulness because it's 'theirs'... I see this among my students: they want to give of others' things, but not of their own! ;)Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette
