I've cleaned all the toilet s- now it's time to start over - I like the verse on the vaccuum - indeed his heart is dark - if we cleaned it more often, reckon that would make a change. good job.

This is very cleverly put together. I think the last verse is very good indeed and a very clever use of the words. I like the simple descriptions that bring the simple ideas together for a bigger impact as a whole.

LOL!!! Oh, yeah, ALWAYS something better, my lady: like writing corny 5-7-5 suites for the other anti-houseworkers out here to enjoy and snort at!! ;) ;) LOL! Thanx for that, by the way!! ;) Take care! ;) Yvette

As long as you didn't snort on the window or the walls and have to clean it up!

    Nope - promise!! It was a self-contained snort - lol!! ;)

Haha - well, girl, I've always been obsessive about keeping my house clean and now more than ever, I enjoy it. It's a way of having some control, ya know? We can stay on top of dirt and clutter. Hugs, Lou

A very well-written 5-7-5 suite about the boredom of isolation can draw us to do the things we will normally do with a heavy heart and find no pleasure doing it normally but now it seems the only thing we can do to prevent us from madness.

Lol. Love your funny puns. Vacuuming sucks. But I think you might dig Sam Spade a lot more. Yes, I know that character - never understood that genre but I do know Bogart. I think I prefer Hercules Poirot.

Thanks for your comments. I've never seen The Maltese Falcon and am not familiar with Sam Spade, so it was just imagining. I adore Hercules Poirot as a character, but his name bears no resemblance to a household chore unfortunately, haha.

Lol. I think in French his name means pear tree...Still not a good dance partner!

LOL. Excellent and most punny suite of five seven fives. I especially like the Sam Spade allusion and totally agree that Bogart would be the preferable choice.

What a fun entry into your NaPo project. :)

Lisa May, you are a whirling dirvish. I cannot imagine you idol and so your poem about vacuuming fits the bill in your situation. I like this line...Mr. Hoover sucks:

Fun poems today, Lisa! I am slow to the fox trot too. Dust is piling up but as you said, nobody is coming so I am more at ease with the keep up. I love to garden, but too cold here still. My vacuum sucks, but not the right kind of suck. ;)) it gets plugged so easily.
Stay safe girlie!

"There's ALWAYS something better to do than housework." You won't get an argument from me, Lisa. We put our cleaning ladies on sabbatical because of the lock-down, so I now do the vacuuming. I don't dance and sing, however. Take care. Rod

There are probably quite a few men doing unaccustomed activities these days. Thanks for reviewing.
