Amazing mimic by a mockingbird was so shocking but later you shockingly discovered the absurd mimic laughing; very well formatted this minute poetry and simply so nicely crafted the taletelling with a good flow of thoughts; I like.

I have to be honest. Until I read your notes that a mockingbird can mimic an alarm I didn't understand the poem. I thought it was mocking them for losing the car. But it was a fun poem. You tell a story well. Maybe add a little more detail to make that clearer

The strict format of this style dues not allow room for great detail. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

-Not only did your poem entertain, but you could see the style in which it was written. I felt like you were telling an interesting tale, that had a surprise ending as well. I am impressed by it. :)

I hate when people's car alarms go off. Lol. Everyone races to their front doors and tries to see if it's their own car. Then god forbid iif it's yours! Then you have to do the walk of shame outside to turn it off. Hahaha. Great topic choice!

I'm glad you caught the errors. I have to admit I submitted the poem at midnight - on my phone while writing in bed. And did not check to see how it all appeared on my laptop til this morning. I have revised it and hopefully it will not be disqualified! Thanks for the headsup!

A good lesson-don't post at midnight in bed:) You have a brand new review. I loved the poem, and you won't be disqualified!

My favorite part was, "The blaring car we
had to find
It was not mine
We searched the block
We were in shock

The sound was coming from up high
in midnight sky
A mockingbird
could now be heard
He'd changed his tune
to laughing loon", because that was a very unexpected twist and the end and pretty amazing that it's also a true story!

The Lord led me to this verse after I read this,

Luke 12:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
