Reading your Bio, I see you were graced by God when He brought you out of a miserable life, and saved you. How wonderful. I enjoyed reading your poem, it's very well written and I got a lot of pleasure reading it. Well done! Have a lovely day. :)) Sandra xx

This poem is definitely one of evangelization and shows your faith and that you want others to find theirs. It tells of how Jesus lived and wants us to live.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Dear Fonda,

All praise to God Almighty and to his servant, Fonda, for fidelity to solemn promises made some 14 months ago.

Everything works nicely in your poem save for the first stanza. I puzzled over it for a solid fifteen minutes, and the best I can get is this:

"Neither mortal man nor demon,
can ever prevail to break,
The Promises of My Almighty God to me,
[Promises] that He has made,
and that He will make [to me in the future],
Before He achieves in snatching
His Blessed Breath from these lungs.
For the Millions of Praises to Him,
shall from these lips ever be sung!

In any case, I alert you to the sad muddle that locked me in the first stanza. It might have discouraged me from reading further. But I read ahead hoping to find some help there, but there was none.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph,
Aaron

A very powerful and well-written lesson to us all. The Lord doesn't care what you look like if you go to church every Sunday. He cares that you believe in Him and trust Him. He knows that you can talk to Him anywhere, not always in a pew in a church. He only asks that you accept Him as your savior!
Good job!
Patty

A powerful religious write about self sacrifice and hope that we can live our lives well. I didn't understand the rhyme scheme here? Or is this free-write? Or maybe a personal prayer. Love Dolly x

Hello, your enthusiasm is evident and lovely. I like people that are passionate about what they believe. I am a Messianic Jew. I love the psalms, they are always so comforting.

Loved the ending. It is always good to find a satisfying ending and poems often fall flat there, but yours didn't. And it was my favourite verse.

Forever free from the strife of this world,
and the utter grip of sin,
and the only question,
you have to ask yourself is,
'Will I let Him in?'"

It is so simple, salvation, ours for the taking, but unfortunately, it confounds those who are wise in their own eyes, and there are so many people like that everywhere. Keep your zest and your faith, they are very precious. And thanks for sharing your writing with me today at FS, cheers, Eve.

I used to wonder how angels blessed with immortal life and power could give it all up for the greed causing them to sin against Jehovah God and face certain destruction. Having this clear example to guide us, so many men here on earth willingly risk losing our hope of eternal life free of problems, want or need all in the greedy promise of temporary joy of sin. How foolish.

Outstanding poem here Fonda. It is a wonderful insertion in our lives at this time especially.

I liked this stanza in particular:

"For He wishes to grant you life,
in all abundance,
to bless your blind eyes to see,
and has made The Most Glorious of Places,
for us to Praise Him eternally,
just for you and me!"

Blessings : ) Bob
