I had a Latin teacher years ago; I wish I could remember how to write or speak Latin. Nope, i don't. My grandson loves Latin. Thank goodness he was his old self because languages came easy for him in college.

I really like the voice behind this writing - humorous, witty but also in despair. I will definitely continue reading The Corona Saga. Well done and thank you for sharing - a very topical piece!

Thank you so much, Ms. Anya. Life offers us plenty to laugh about - I got my training in this area in a communism country we survived on laughter:)

Another humorous look at how people deal with adversity. Naming their kids after the virus; or sicknesses in general. I didn't know about that superstition that if you name a kid after a sickness, they will not get the sickness. Interesting. But I could see this happening. People pick names after all kinds of crazy moment now. estory

So true, I think we will do anything not to catch it...

I agree with your attitude that humour is the best way to face misfortune and disaster. You write in an entertaining way and it is interesting that you tell of things happening in a country that i will never see for myself.

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for your review and never say never:)

I was being pragmatic rather than unrealistic. I would have to win the lottery, and as I don't buy lottery tickets, well..... In my dreams.

I had no idea what the title meant but I'm so glad that the ingenious and frugal Romanians came up with a safe way to protect themselves and others! Enjoyed the humor especially the ridiculous names.
"Thanks God, Latin it' a dead language, "
Thank God Latin is a dead language,"
There were other spags but this one stood out more.

Mistake I found, "the Romanian are very inventive.", add an s to the end of Romanian.
My favorite part was, "How we will survive this outbreak? I think humour is the antidote:", because humour is a lot better of a perspective than being negative any day!
The Lord led me to this verse after I read this,
Proverbs 17:22 English Standard Version (ESV)
22 A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

I think Coronella is a pretty name and would sit well on a girl. Your idea about naming babies after diseases is clever and I like the superstition. If that were true, imagine how many babies would be named Cancer!
