I really like that picture you chose to go with your poetry
I don't review a lot of this Japanese forms of poetry
but you really have done a good job of writing this one... John

Great piece! Strong choice of words loaded it with so much that one could barely carry the meaning till the finish line. Do I make sense. It's a very scary perceptive reality we live in.

Devils resides inside a man. Reading this poem is as good as reading one's own mind. Poem has given real meaning to the picture. Thanks for such nice poem.

First, this picture goes hand-hand with this line "Want more, more and more somehow." lol, Its like it sucks you into the Tanka poem.
Desire! Illusion!!
Devils wish all that you see!
The evil nature of mankind, truly does desire all that he sees. These demonic desires will give you the Illusion that the devil is out to get you and that is rightly so, but manytimes...it is man's our evil wants that drive him to be the greedy person that he can be. Hope that makes sense to you, lol. Mary

I don't write Tankas since I don't know much about how to do it, but I find yours
interesting and well done according to the rules. I also like that in a few words
your managed to say a lot about those nasty devils.

My angels tell me you deserve a five for this little poem.

Although I didn't think there was supposed to be any punctuation in Haiku or Tanka, I usually like to look at the writers talent rather than grade a paper and in that aspect these are poetic words of truth.

Devils!--- a perfect Tanka and for such minimal words it tells a really powerful message . Beware for not all that you see is real I encourage our younger people this in little different way but the meaning is the same and that is not to count your chickens before they hatch, within those eggs could be something else growing, perhaps a vulture!. This usually does it, a perfect write, ron

Desire! Illusion!! (De-zi-ur. E-lu-sion. Six syllables. This may be due to our accentual differences, of course. )

I'm not sure the premise of this piece works as a Tanka, Al. It kinda stretches the definition a bit, doesn't it?

Great dizzying and explosive appeal in the words and punctuation.

The power of the image of insatiable greed; that is what truly motivates the adversary of this world. This is seen in the words "Devils wish all that you see!"

Thanks for this post and the reminder.
