Hi Alicia. This guy is an idiot. What's he doing with these creatures anyway? He'd better watch out beating the animals. They'll remember that and one day they'll get him. An interesting current events poem.

A couple of typos:
"These big, lazy, cats are cage (caged) in the private zoo."
and
"Joe tried to beat Liger away, (.) It was a view,"

Hi Marilyn! I think he's lucky to have had weapons on him. But I wasn't expecting it. Whomever put that fish oil on his shoes should be in more trouble. I appreciate the edit notes. Thank you. Hugs, Alicia

This poem, A Story About Tiger Obsession, presented in twelve-syllable lines which have a sestet-quatrain monorhyme break, bring the reader into the phenomenal story of Tiger King. Funny and odd.

Hi Bill! I wanted to keep an even syllable count in every line. The last line was 16-syllables. I tried to much to make the rhyme. Lol. You're nice. Thank you.

I watched the series on Netflix and this guy has an obsession for these tigers but I am not sure he had respect for them, they attacked him and he was kind of fearless. He lost it all in the end. Is it true that his rival covered his shoes in fish oil? I must have missed that bit! The other woman who owned a tiger zoo was just as crazy! These people should not be allowed to keep animals really. I enjoyed your post Alicia, love Dolly x

Hi Dolly! Sardine oil to be exact. This is an admitted fact. This Tiger King came out of left field. The show is supposed to be like a soap opera and highly recommended. Joe Exotic is wild himself.

I know Tippi Hendren owns a Tiger Santuary in Acton, California. I can't handle that situation. But I watch this show on YouTube every so often; Michael Jamieson with his pets in South Africa.

    You're nice. Thank you.

I didn't know anything about that guy. I guess I heard about him and that someone made a fake picture of him with Trump's face. But I didn't see any of his videos before. Thanks for sharing in your poem and with the video! Scary!

Hi Helen! Exotic Joe came out of nowhere. And he's been all this rage these past few weeks. You're nice. Thank you :)

This is a well written poem. I watched the video (thanks for including it). Funny when he told the tiger he was going to shoot him. This guy is tougher than he looks. That being said, your poem does a great job in sharing the story in the poem format. Very descriptive and enjoyable. Well done.

I missed this news article, but I did hear the one about the tiger who tested positive for coronavirus at a zoo, where his handler was infected! Thanks for your curious, rhymed story and the matching pictures. Smiles- Joan

The Bronx Zoo must be a wreck over their dear tiger. It's so cute too. And I am tired of this pandemic. I searched forever to find an article without Coronavirus, COVID-19, face masks or pandemic in the headlines. Louis Vuitton is in the protective masks business now too. I'm not sure if out of Texas or Paris. Lolz.

    Thank you.

A very well-written poem about the tiger attack on Joe that ended up with a fight for live and death with all kinds of methods to survive. It was a bad trick by a rival that could get Joe killed.
