I think that you wrote another beautiful and well written piece. I'm sorry for your loss. Losing someone is very difficult, and I'm praying for you. The quote "And yes, I lost so all of those...'That I loved so, so, much...
'And yes, I cried Endlessly!''All those Endless and Sleepless nights.''And, I cursed and wanted God to take me too!''And, Cried..."When the Stars *Died" Is a powerful quote that I can really relate to. God's grace is so powerful that he is able to lead us out the difficult times. Thanks for sharing!

Very heartbreaking and tragic poem, you have poured out your heart, Ricky, in a creative flow of deep seated emotion. I don't know why you describe it as a "short" and tragic time in your life, because I think you relive it over and over; it is too traumatic to forget. I like your Walt Whitman quote very much; my brother John also died in the Spring -- technically Winter, but March feels like Spring. And my father died in April. I will always miss my Dad, but his death, while sudden and unexpected, didn't have the same traumatic impact as losing John at 44 -- and with John, I was also there on the scene. It wasn't a violent situation like that of your son Jay's, but one feels so helpless, so dismayed, so overcome. To see a loved one's body without them living in it, is something we really can't fathom; it's outside our natural and ordinary experience. This must have been particularly true in the special circumstances of seeing your son when his brain activity had ceased -- very painful. I am so sorry, my friend. I am, as always, your friend, Mary Kay

Thank you Ricky for your condolences, your kindness and compassion. And I am sorry about your loss of your sister, and as always your loss of your son and your wife. Today is Good Friday, we can remember that Jesus is our Best Friend who gave His life so that we can be forgiven and live forever, so someday we can be reunited with our loved ones. God bless you! - Mary Kay

Oh, what a very sad and melancholic offering for the day, Ricky -- really paints a blue picture of unhappiness for the reader in color and in emotion... Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

I can see a bit more polish to your work. Well done. All I can say to you is, I definitely can feel your pain and sorrow and I wish there was a way I could lessen the load. Loves Torn away from you, no way for any replacements, and heart still bleeds while the soul desparately wants to find a way to heal, I hear you but I cannot take it all away, how much time before your heart can stop aching and some joy enter again into your life?

Wow. This is powerful. One of your best poems I think because you let us into your feelings. The stanza where you state that if you can no longer "see" or "hear" than you've lost too much - powerful. Great job.

Thanks again Michael that was not actually a 4-minute written piece that just popped right in my head.
