Ciao Mystery poet.. I gave you my vote ..you have three now !
I have always been fascinated by the unknown ..
...the mystery surrounding subjects like the Yeti, Nessie, Bigfoot etc fascinate me...
...are they just myths or are they real ?
An excellent theme choice ...it captures the reader's attention immediately ...
Yeti, stalks
unseen ....
Or rather is it humans stalking and the Yeti just keeping an eye on a potential threat ..?

Tempeste,
Thanks for your vote and comments. You consistently award me with your accolades for my short verses. It was written as you thought, but someone equated this with the unknown virus the world is facing - an unseen stalker of mankind.

You have met the requirements of a 5-7-5 prompt.
I don't know if "he" is really there, but wouldn't be awesome to find an entire village of them!
Best of luck with the 5-7-5 writing contest.

Any bet you want to make that this mythical creature is a 'he?'
Check out the Brazilian 'boto.'
The myth of the morphing river dolphin, a creature known as an encantado, has long been used ? and still is used ? in isolated parts of the Amazon as a cover story for unwanted or scandalous pregnancies, be they the result of a clandestine affair, an act of incest, or other illegal or dishonorable deed.

Yvette,
Your scientific background WOULD come up with that name! Check out 'boto' and:

Sasquatch or Yeti Stalking Us is an interesting piece. I love how it implies there are creatures out there we cannot see that are watching us.
Good luck in the contest.

Thanks Mia. I have heard the stories about these creatures. And maybe they do exist. Just the thought of them scares me. All cultures have these mysterious creatures in their lore. The Loch Ness Monster is another example.

Dear author,
The picture chosen is up-close scary.
The cold air is a vital detail & quite reality-based since mountains are notorious for cold air.
The first line has 6 syllables, not 5.
Therefore have to go with 4 stars.

Roberta,
Some may agree that syllable counting is my strongest poem attribute (-; I have amended it accordingly - good catch! I prefer to use FanStory for all my posts. The selected image was meant to be scary. So pleased with your comments about this now 5(!)-7-5 post. It typically represents my poem format.
