What a lovely etheree, and so perfect for these times. Yes, there is much we can do to encourage others, and I love the examples you've given. I have been in receipt of these things, as well as giving them. I won't squander the gift anymore.

Hello Author, This is quite the perfect Etheree for this situation we are in. We may not be able to give a physical hug to anyone, but a note, a smile as you are inevitably passing someone in the grocery store aisle... I've noticed that people seem afraid to smile at each other! I've never seen so many suspicious glances before. Wave to the neighbor as you're out getting the mail... You can't catch this stuff from smiling at each other! ;) As I read this I feel as if I know you, Author... I suppose time will tell... :)

Hello Author, This is quite the perfect Etheree for this situation we are in. We may not be able to give a physical hug to anyone, but a note, a smile as you are inevitably passing someone in the grocery store aisle... I've noticed that people seem afraid to smile at each other! I've never seen so many suspicious glances before. Wave to the neighbor as you're out getting the mail... The fun part is to really make ?em wonder what you?re up to with so much cheerfulness ? they can?t help but smile back!! I?m pretty sure a number of folks at the Wal-Mart this morning thought I was a bit ?touched? but so many of them ended up smiling from across the produce department, or down the cereal aisle or? oh, yeah, you should have seen the lady?s reaction when I waved and said a cheerful ?Good morning!? a few ?displays? over in the bakery/deli area...lol! But she walked away with a smile under that mask, it was obvious! Keep smiling and believing ? we?ll get through this!! ;-)

Hi--This is my first time ever on this writing site. Sorry--I may be too much of a perfectionist.I don't have suggestions because, as I said, this is a difficult form so just to write in this form is a triumph.

First time I understand. But not realizing what the rating system represents....? You rated this poem below that of one that needs adjustments... meaning that it needs adjustments plus more. [see below] If a poem is not to your liking yet is written mechanically correct, then you skip the poem. All poetry is as different as its authors and, although a poem may not be written to 'appeal to you', that does not mean it is deserving of a rating BELOW needing adjustments. We are here to help each other improve: to rate a poem low without any reason other than your personal preference does an disservice to the poet you are reviewing as well as yourself... it will be difficult in the future for me to take any of your reviews seriously.
The site offers a six star scale for ranking work. Here's a guideline:
