How true this statement happens to be. It is great to have an open mind, but to receive and believe every little detail that an open mind might encounter???

This 3-5-3, Open Minds, has the right set up and allows that just as we observe life through five senses, we must receive data with all perspectives in mind.

It is true that open minds listen to both sides without a rush to judgment. This must be taught for it does not come naturally. If practiced, one becomes wiser.

I like your poem's observation - it is so true that if we have open minds then the information for our opinions can be accessed from every direction, and from all sides of such things as politics (that take sides, unfortunately).
(In the context of your poem, the word "mind's" does not need an apostrophe as it is a plural word here and not a possessive word.)
