A strongly worded piece of observational poetry that follows along similar lines to the well worn adages of 'Do as I say, not as I do.' and 'One rule for you and another for me.'

Many within our world don't know how to like someone.
When children grow, some are not friendly
They know how to hate someone and hurt them.
They steal from others their reason why?
"They Don't Know Why?"
Many know hate only, what will happen to them?

A strongly worded criticism of leaders who betray their responsibilities. Your comparison is clear although the differences between the two scenarios are so great that it is difficult to accept it as a fair comparison.

I believe if we are each centered and focused, He will keep us on the straight and narrow. Our leaders, even the ones who want to be good, are soon mired down in the maelstrom of dysfunctionality, hatred and greed that is our government. All of us, in our own way, must be the engine of change. Great write!

Syllable perfect, excellent question and succinct expose of the way it is in today's ever puzzling and confused world.
Very well said but let's hope the loses aren't quite as dramatic as you suppose. LiveLove'n'Peace, Garth

"When I lose something,
You teach me ethics, morals,
What about leaders?
Lose our nation, race, country,
Yield to foreign terrorists!"
Great job! I really like how you worded your poem. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem.

I think you have created a poem that gives much wisdom - you are saying a lot in a few words, not the least of which is that people need to take the blinders off and recognize that government must be accountable.

We do not have a good leader to run this nation. What we do have is a spirit of enthusiasm to stimulate anti-american behavior. We can only hope to survive until the next election without another major war.
