This Tanka poem has perfect syllable counting; it clearly speaks of morals with allegorical order losing pen and losing country glory that the leaders do not think of nation and who else to teach them; so nice poem of today at the instance of erosion of morality, moral values round the globe; so much enjoyed.

A very finely crafted and words chosen for this one, a credible tanka by every means, I really like the first two lines they seem to speak volumes.
Kind regards

This is a deep message, difficult to explain or paraphrase. But I look at our present leaders, and without words, I understand. Passionate rhyme, great message, briefly written.

This Tanka poem has perfect syllable counting.
This clearly passes on the message on morality, moral approach and moral sentiment.
The contrast for making the point clear is unique.
The reference of pen is only an illusion or allegory.
There are public administrators who do not bother to sacrifice even country glory and some leaders are ready to forgo interests of the nation before the terrorists or enemies.
That we can teach morals to boys and girls but can we really teach morality to the leaders?
This is going to make a history in this site.

Hi AllcreatorWriter, I have to confess that I had trouble with understanding this tanka. I think that you were referring to two sins, one small in comparison to a larger one. Sin number one, you lose your ability to speak out, and the government loses it's honor, sin number two. You are asking which is the bigger sin? and answer it in the overall tone of the poem. Am I close?
all the best,
Foxey

Wow - this one is deep. I loved it. In the end - after reading several times just 'cause it felt good to do so, I realized that what, at first, seemed complicated, was actually brilliantly simple. Way to go! I love the Tanka and this is such a great representation of it.

I'm a bit generous with my rating. I didn't get it. So if you lost five pens I'd lose five countries? But why? Didn't like this poem. If it was a poem. I don't know what it was. Major confused. Grammar and flow is in need of fixing up. I should give you only one star. However, considering the 10 cent thing, I wanted to be a bit more generous to you. Anyway, you may need to lengthen it, not interesting and logical at all. Please fix up and I'll read again. Promise. Good try!

I had to look up Tanka as I wasn't familar with it...You did a good job with it. A political poem to me is very hard and I usually shy away from them.

It's always hard to review a short poem. I have no idea what tanka is either. But I got yr message here. Why jump over a small moral issue of a mere citizen, when you commit a bigger one across the world?
