Hi Alicia. Did you take that photo? Love the little garden space with the lemon tree. Your poem is a delight. It's a little slice of life right now, covering the small things we observe while isolating due to the virus. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn! Yes, I did take the photo. The air was somehow dusty that day. Thank you.

A very well-written early bird poem for the NaPoWriMo challenge this year. I wish you luck in your quest and hope to read more of your poems until the end of the month of April.

You tell about a songbird that looked like a robin with a bright blue breast you saw, but today you have to stay home and you cannot find the bird, the bright day turns panicky; well said, well done.

This piece sets the scene of a nice spring day birds chirping and and a flock of Wrens taking to the sky and is complemented by the sound of a bird chirping I love it the way they complement each other the video and the Beautiful, descriptive writing. And as you're reading you can paint beautiful picture even without the video. But the video makes it more realistic with sounds of the birds chirping. This is a very pleasant and creative piece that gives the reader peace as the reader reads.

Hi! All the birds hang around together in the neighbors' lemon tree and other neighbor's orange tree in the early mornings. Sometimes, a skunk or raccoon too. Like an hour before sunrise to about 10 or 11 am. Thank you :)

Thanks for teaching me about this pretty bird! You're off to a great start. It's during this pandemic when we are all sheltered in, we all are noticing nature more and probably the birds are taking note about our behavioral changes. Please stay safe!

Hiyah Helen! The birds are loud. I listen to them a lot. I have no choice. They want to be heard, they get heard. Lolz.. Be careful, Stay safe and strong. Thank you :)

I love your poem Miss Alicia!
Love the birds and the lemon tree!
I'd love to be able to have a lemon
tree, we sure use a lot of them.
I've never seen a bird like the one
you described, how beautiful!
I hope you are staying well...be safe!!
Blessings...

Hi Judy! Yeah, I never saw these birds until moving to California. I thought the birds were the same everywhere. Lolz. Thank you. Be careful, Stay safe and strong. Hugs :)

You too! Happy Friday!! No, birds are different everywhere...we get red Cardinals, but my son's mother-in-law in Colorado didn't...but she got the prettiest Mountain bluebirds...which we didn't...fascinating!

That was quick--I'm glad you were inspired by the birds visiting your neighbor's tree. It is good they brought you the same kind of distraction from the pandemic that the feathered friends coming to our feeders do. (I think it should be "Pull" at the start of the second line.) Thanks for appealing to our sense of sound and adding the photo as well. Here's to more "bright" days- Joan

Hi Joan! The fig tree was pruned. So the birds can't hang out closer to me. Yeah, they are loudmouths. But they're not far just out the front door. Thank you. Hugs, Alicia :)

I hope the fig tree leafs out again soon so more birds will return. Maybe, you too could add a bird feeder--it attracts neat pets with no vet bills or walking required. More smiles- Joan
