hmm, very interesting. I've watched this whole #MeToo movement and listened to the 'victims' tell their tales of abuse and 'sexual assault'. Harvey and Bill are in Prison. Matt and Charlie and others are unemployed.

But are the women victims? One has to wonder? Can one wonder publicly? Can one even express doubt without retribution or being cancelled? Is that really justice or a movement? Or is that something else?

Excellent work. This commentary is sign of the times. How did they keep it hidden for so long... Harvey is now in a NYC slammer with coronavirus. Well thought out. Meticulously written. Great perspective presented. Nicely done.

You'd love the movie, "Bombshell". It shocked and upset many. The movie was about sexual harassment in the media. FOX maybe.

Thank you--nice surprise, the bonus star. More important to me are your wonderful words. I will try to find the movie. I believe it is about Meghan Kelly formerly on FOX. Cheers. LIZ

You're quite the eloquent writer and what a poetic editorial you wrote! I don't know what to make of the whole thing because they are lumping truly despicable acts of sexual abuse with somewhat dubious innuendos. And what about that lady who was part of the Me Too movement and was guilty of sexually taking advantage of a young man? And poor Garrison - all he did was touch a grieving woman on the back.

Thanks for stopping by! I've drafted the following opening statement for defense counsel of the back patter and other inoffensive unfortunates: The backlash of accusations by dubious claimants has attenuated the attention due the victims; moreover it's diluted the outrage due the perpetrators whose monstrous acts are conflated with the minor offenses of insensitive chauvinists. How's that for pomposity in impeccably alliteration. Cheers. LIZ

I see where you were going with this piece. It's funny how the media can take something serious and terrible and change it into a 3 ring circus. Adding hashtags and vlogs. Making it almost easy to capitalize off of abuse. I thought the same way. Nice work.

I am fortunate to have somehow bypassed this scene. I have never been harassed, or mistreated at a workplace. I have never felt the need to be a Me Too person. It is a sad state of affairs nowadays.

Good post. I learned much from it.

Me Too! Meaning, I also got a pass on this. There was one sleazy guy who'd make remarks that I'd just blow off--I got back at him by openly telling others that he was a pervert. He got all huffy when word got back to him--why did you going around calling me a pervert? I simply smiled sweetly and said--because you are. Cheers. LIZ

My son and I were just talking about this. There should be a statue of limitations on accusing someone thirty years after the act. Who can really prove it happened? Get on the bandwagon--get your fifteen minutes of fame.

The backlash of accusations by dubious claimants has unfairly attenuated the attention due the victims; moreover, it's diluted the outrage due the perpetrators by conflating their monstrous actions with the mild ones of the run-of-the-mill chauvinists. Thanks for stopping by, Shari. Hope you're hanging in there. Cheers. LIZ

Your writing style reflects that of contract writers and lawyers. LOL

However did you guess! Indeed, I wrote that for the defense attorney of some poor guy who complimented his secretary's bracelet. He hired me to draft his opening statement. Upon rereading it, I realize that it's overblown; I will advise that he omit the superfluous "unfairly" before attenuate. Cheers!

Okay, I have bad eyes and your tiny print was impossible for me to read. I am a rape victim. It's so hard for us to come forward with our stories, to get help, to admit what happened, etc. I don't know what to say. My heart hurts for anyone who knows what it feels like and has to live with the torment of it.

How dreadful. I hope I made clear: I have nothing but compassion for you victims of these monsters; I have nothing but contempt for them--and the legal system that tsk-tsks the dicks. Cosby got, like, 4 years, That works out to about twenty minutes per victim. Perhaps I exaggerate--probably more like fifteen per. Regarding the font size, I increased it from the default to 20pt so that you and others can read it. Hope you'll give it another chance. My sympathies; and apologies for the reminders of your trauma. The font is much better. And it's all good. I have times where I struggle a lot and times where it's there but it's not as bad. I started therapy a couple months ago. I never realized how much damage a person can cause. It's insane.

Wow Liz that is a very powerful write. I hope everyone here reads this.
In defence of those man who have been innocently been tarred with the same disgusting brush of weintein and cosby and the many others been outed who had simply given a compliment but has now been construed as sexual innuendo I feel for you.
Best all men and women with authority in their field of work who control people under them have a strong hard look at their actions over the years just in case they are innocently drawn in due to a certainly personality or demeanour.

Great style liz thanks for posting what had to be said
