Jarring juxtapostion of startling phrases--I confess I can't get the gist of how the chosen imagery pertains to greed--I've struggled to make sense of this.

Greed one of the seven deadly sins.
Man can have it all, and it is still not enough.
Yet, he has nothing if he does not have Salvation.
Very hard for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Alcreator, you absolutely caught this one. Greedy is right - we're such a strange species. We're created in the image of God (who gives and gives) and yet we struggle so with that concept. Greedy -- spot on, my friend.

Greed affects mankind on many levels: in politics, business, religion, criminals, etc. This was a very interesting poem about what plagues us as human beings. Great job.

Yes, greed is one of the negative attributes of many,
like pride, covetousness, lust, gluttony, envy, anger, and sloth.
Unfortunately, the world is full of greed.
Some might say posting numerous poems at the top is greedy.
