I got the missing shoe blues...", because I didn't know this was a song until I saw the word chorus and I walked right into some funny! The picture went great with it as well!

I enjoyed your song, pharp. Your lines flow well with good rhymes. The image is a great choice for your well-chosen words. Is the line 'I got the missing show blues' considered the chorus [required in the rules]. Forgive me for asking. Otherwise I don't see a chorus. Title is missing a 't' on go(t). Jan, I didn't see anything in the rules requiring a chorus. I did have one, but it just wasn't indicated as such. However, I did separate it from the lyrics. Thanks so much for bringing the error in the title to my attention.

I was singing along with the song. I was thinking of a Mississippi John Hurt tune while I read your poem and it fit the lyrics! Cute and funny especially the "mildew" line. I hope you do well in the contest.
