It looks like your solitude is temporary, since your dog is at the hotel and you will hear him later, but in your story, in your imagination, silence is everlasting and won't be interrupted by human or animal.
I admit I like my solitude, too.

Silence can be one of the most sought after sounds of our time. The world is loud and people are invasive so enjoy silence when it comes around. Your poem describes someone who needs some time to breath and think on their own.
