That is just sensational. It exhibits the grandest form of simple elegance, and is utterly true to the human experience. An absolutely beautiful metaphor. Worthy of all 6 starts. :-)

Thanx so much for your awesome review on this one, David - those stars are such a welcome sight over here!! ;) It's a rare time when I wax philosophical - lol!! :) :) Like I said... I still see the fairies, so maybe it's not so much philosophical as psychological...lol! ;) Take care out there, sir, and enjoy the upcoming weekend!! ;) Yvette

Yvette,
I would rather they would be fairies disguised as moths. Maybe if you said outloud you believe in fairies they would change forms and reveal themslves. In fanasy books faires sometimes danced and sang aroun fires
in a forest clearing to catch humans to take them to their true home.
Congrats on placing third in the contest with this well written cinquain
Keep writing
Joan

I am so glad to see that you still have the gift. The title, the picture, and the words say it all. "Till time reveals..." I think echoes the title resonantly. Well done Y.M. very well done.

Oh I would die inside once I realized they were moths. I HATE moths! My brother use to turn the porch light on at night when I was younger so I'd stay outside longer. Good old sibling rivalry (I got even), but oh no!

I thought I was the one that still saw the fairies! Only when I do, they're flying through the summer night with their little green blinking lights... sometimes you can catch them in your hands... then you realize they're just fireflies. lol

Oh, I see more than that, but I keep them 'underwraps' for fear of such vision being misconstrued as something else...LOL! ;) :) You so rock, BLOTN, just because your support is wonderful!! :) Of course, you know why I'm so late, but I do apologize!! Gonna get on top of this soon and be back to a 'new normal' .... I am an optimist! ;) Yvette

Again, this another wonderful poem, Yvette! I think every adult has been disenfranchised in some way, and I think everyone can relate to it. I love the imagery and wording. Nice photo. This poem will be in lieu of my autobiography! Lol. Good luck

Oh, Cindy - you have made me NOT ready to just pull my hair out over here!! THANK YOU for this awesome review and those shining stars -- see? Help for the smile I have to wear as I make YouTube videos teaching math for my students - aack!! ;) :) Please know that your support is always so wonderful and I am forever grateful!! ;)
Please understand that this is a ridiculously abbreviated (and cut/paste) response for me, but I have been (still am!) in the midst of converting everything to online learning for the mandated school closings for the foreseeable future. Once I get ?ahead? in this ?change of venues? (i.e., instruction in cyberspace ? lol!), I promise to be back to ?me? in my responses? you know, the crazy blonde fantasy chick! ;) ;)
Be safe and, remember, if you see any offerings/reviews from me, they are my ?escape? from this insanity? you know, my pressure release valve!! ;) ;)
Take care of you and we?ll be sailing smoothly again in a few more days? hopefully!

Your artwork and words work beautifully together in presenting a wonderful image, a very impressive cinquain poem, I can imagine the moths taking the fairy shape in the flickering light, if I may ask is the short intro. line before the title correct as to me it does not seem to read right? best wishes for your contest****kahpot

This put a big old smile on my face. I'm with you - we should try to look for magic where it doesn't exist. What a marvelous presentation. I love the image and your words. Hm...the more I look, the more they look like fairies. Hugs, Lou
