Linda, This is a very beautiful and very well written poem about your memories for the past. To me this is a six star poem my friend. You used very good descriptive words and very heart felt words. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. May God bless you! love, Teri

The last line makes the poem. All of us have good and bad memories (or as you so beautifully put it, some memories that are "tightly treasured" and some that are "unwanted". I think the test is - when we look back on the totality of our memories, can we smile, or do we cringe.

Your poem, and the wonderful illustration that accompanies it, speaks to the ultimate introspection - what did I do with my life? You use some wonderful phrases here - "mannequin of moments", "did I trip too many time to forgive?". It's a really beautiful and poignant poem.

Linda,
We all wonder could've, should've, would've at times and yes those moments in time mold us into who we are today. The times that make us smile and those that bring a tear. We can only put our trust in the lord and follow his path. God bless

You failed to mention your eyes to me, mupy dear friend. I didn't realize our were having trouble. This comes back with healing prayers. As you k kw, Im near blind but continue to write. I think it's easier to write with a bit of eyesight than none. I'm so pleased this poem is doing so well. A testament to how much you are loved and missed, dearest Linda.

I think we all wonder sometimes...had I done this or hadn't I, would I have made the memory different. I suppose it hard to know for sure. I think a life without some regret just as impossible as one never experiencing being human. You penned a wonderful poem Linda. Love Michael

What a lovely poem about memories. I think all of us at some time or another wonder if we did the right thing. I didn't see any mistakes and you did an excellent job. Shirley

I am sure you travelled the only path you knew at the time my friend and whilst it may not have been by choice, it has moulded you into who you are today which seems to be a kind loving and compassionate individual. Just know that all the paths and roads you have travelled got you where you are now.
So many great lines in this but in particular I liked "mannequin of moments" That conjures up a gamut of thoughts.
Well done. This felt very personal. Thanks for sharing yourself like this. Sixer for you girl!

I love this offering. It speaks so true of every journey one takes along the path of life. My only problem is the title. Memories Remembered is to my mind redundant. One cannot have memories if they are not remember, in my opinion. I would seek a different title. Love the picture, excellent structure and the poem flows well. It is so rewarding to be please with who you have become. I love your first stanza.

Hello Linda, this is a lovely free verse and your words have a dreamlike quality, suitable to your reminiscing theme. People will identify with this poem because we all reminiscing and I suspect they have pretty much the same thoughts. I certainly identify and enjoyed the read, especially -
and I wonder of my past
did I do all the right things?
did I walk the right path asked of me?
did I trip too many times to forgive?....... Lovely! But your finish on a good optimistic note in your final stanza - whatever..... it has made you who you are today. A good, thoughtful read. Warm regards Dorothy xx
