This is an interesting angle for the current terror scourging the world. It is only through faith and kindness that people will remain strong. This has a good message.

Well done Sal, with a little flavor of the screwtape letters. The last line is powerful. It's funny how the earthly minnions never stop to ponder how working for the losing team will work out for them. What good does it do to gain the whole world...
Bless you Sister

Thank you, again, dear D. I thought of Screwtape as I was writing this. They have nothing to lose since they fell with Satan long ago. Their fatality is sure. They just want to take as many willing, unbelieving, Christ-hating humans with them as possible. They have upped their game. Cannot the world see it? Scary. It's become so downright blantant and in-your-face evil. The pots-a-boiling, dear D!
Thanks so much for stopping by with an encouraging review. Sal xo

Ha ha ha, I love the sarcasm here in your clever write Sally. Someone has to be blamed and our leader Boris will put the blame firmly on the public for not obeying the rules. He had a gentle approach to begin with and warned us there will be 20,000 deaths in England alone when this is all over! A shocking figure, but everybody ignored him, the wave has only just hit Britain and I fear for my family. I enjoyed your words here, love Dolly x

New York has exploded with corona cases and the governor and mayor have blamed everyone, especially the president. However, they have let people leave the state and asked them to self-quarantine themselves. This is complete madness and will effect us all. I think we have only just begun. The peak hasn't been reached yet. Liberal Congress has shown their true colors here in America. It's really quite alarming as if the pandemic weren't enough. Praying for us all. Sal xoxo

I feel for America because it is going to be very difficult for you to contain the virus because you have no borders. I hope you all stay safe, love Dolly x

WOW! Sally, this is a powerful piece of writing with a strong message. Very clever thinking. These are trying times and need desperate measures - self isolating is better than going under I think. '"I plan to generously reward all humans who help us achieve our goals. Not that they will be around to enjoy it." Well written, the trouble is such
people have no consideration for others and take us with them if they can. We read some awful stories that are going on at the moment in UK. Some people are just sick psychopaths. I wish I had a six left - Good Luck dear Sally to you and yours, stay well and keep writing. Good luck in the contest. Love Dorothy xxx

Thank you, dear Dorothy. It's easy to see which side a person is on. Evil is as evil does. The media is surprisingly complicit in these actions. Alarmingly so. Sending you my best today as always and praying angels all around you and your family. Take care!!

Out of sixes. Never heard you cuss. Is Hell even a cuss word? Your author notes say it all, my friend, but then back to the poetry. Well done. Have I ever told you anything ELSE? Great job? Is it just me or have YOU noticed that when a bulletin comes through from WHOEVER, they are not standing six feet apart? Is this so everyone can get in the picture? I would be a bit more careful, I think.
Great job and out of sixes early.
Hugs from a distance.

All our hugs are from a distance these days. :( Hell is a place not really a cuss word, I think. I'm pretty clean in my conversations. My mom used that term sometimes so I'll give her the credit. I could write volumes about my flamboyant mother. Anyway, thanks for stopping and hopefully this pandemic aid bill gets through. My small business is still in operation, but at a crawl. All my non-profits have dropped their fund raisers for the Spring. All of them. :( :( Double sad. I have a local children's home fun run to raise money for their budget, and my nationwide interest, Foundation For Fighting Blindness, has fundraisers to raise money for blindness cures. I was hoping to sign my book as giveaways. I'll have to figure out something else here. People are being prudent with their spending and I see many of my business associates have already let their workers go to collect unemployment. I don't blame them. It is necessary for so many for right now. Tight times have already begun here, and are ahead for many. Still, I cling to my faith more than ever and my prayers are longer these days. I'm always delighted to see you and appreciate your five stars, as well. Stay safe out there! Sending you my best today as always, Wemdy dear.

I didn't know you could write "horror" - quite scary stuff! You're right that there is a spiritual aspect to the current problems created by the pandemic. But God is in control. Well written flash fiction - best wishes in the contest!

Hell's agenda is scary and thankfully we have to sign up to be a part. Jesus Christ and His blood delivers us from such a place. I feel sorry for those who serve the devil willingly. There seems to be more than ever these days, especially in our governance. Time for Cjrist to return in my humble estimation.
Sending you my best today as always and blessings in Christ,
Sal xoxo

You contest entry is great, Sally, I enjoyed (?) reading it for the way it was presented. Your use of dialogue carries the little story. I agree that the virus is the devil's handiwork and all else that tags along with it. Our world leaders and Congress need to step up and forget the blame game and actually do something to help. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Respectfully, Jan

I agree. Reaally, Congress has shown, for the most part, who is on the devil's side and who is on God's. It's never been clearer to me. Thank you for the excellent review and insight, Jan. Sending you my best today as always,

Though this Horror and Thriller Flash Fiction is an amusement to help us cope with the latest calamity, there is a wise truth deep within it.
There are only two categories of sentient beings -- those who serve others (whatever the personal cost), and those who serve only themselves (with no care about anyone else). The former group follows God's plan for our mutual welfare, while the latter group opposes that. It is the age-old Good versus Evil struggle, even though some participants may not recognize it as such. Well, ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse for nefarious deeds.
Despite being berated for trying to sneak an abortion-on-demand provision into the House relief bill, the current 1,200-page bill is crammed with every imaginable socialist nastiness the Demonrats could squeeze in, none of which benefit presently suffering Americans; and she got Schumer to oppose the far better bipartisan Senate bill he had already helped to draft. The effect is an unconscionable delay in providing desperately needed help. Clearly, Pelosi, Schumer, and all others who go along with them are on the self-server side. We can only hope American voters will remember this betrayal of their oath to represent the American people.
Your superb post is both timely and important.
Also, thank you for the song lyrics, as the video did not play because of some issue at YouTube.

I'm so glad you could appreciate this one and thought it six star worthy. It's painfully true and I'm sure may have appalled some liberals. I marked this horror because it is truly horrible, at the expense of mankind. There aren't words to express how I feel about the betraying leaders. They care for no one but themselves. Thanks so much for your wonderful review and encouraging words on the importance of this post. I hope many wake up. Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

You are most welcome, Sal. The worst aspect of what the Dems are doing is that it is barely a hint at what they'd do if they gain any more power. Fortunately, the Senate is kicking Pelosi's self-serving pork out of the relief bill, as Trump has said he'd never sign the bill with that nonsense still in it. -- Mike

Ha, love your opening line, Sally. I think it portends a place that might be way too hot all the time.
A most chilling flash fiction. I think the media needs to back off on the coronavirus coverage too. It's too much and because there isn't any new information to share speculation enters the picture.
Excellent write and best of luck to you with the Contest Committee. :)

If I win the contest, I'd be flabbergasted. I did make this part horror and threw in some satire. The media has made this worse and just stay to two trusted news sources. Everyone else escaped from the warm place on a day pass.
Sending you my best today as always with many thanks,
Sal xoxo
