You've written an excellent poem for the contest involving the deadly sins.
Pride is one at the top of the list, sometimes overlooked
since we are also told to take pride in our work.
But in excess, it is one of the deadly sins.
Excellent description and imagery, and wonderful rhymes.
The poem reads well with very good meter
and the end line is just right.

Like a good poem should, it started reading itself... came right off the tongue easily. Should it have been "then rob(s) God of Glory"...? I don't know the answer. Your subject is powerful, you were wise to close with your last line. Thank you for your poetry!
