Ah, I love this beautiful presentation of your entry for the 5-7-5 Tree Hugger contest. I'm reveling in this magnificent display of spring's promise here in Washington too. Pears are one of the first to brighten these last bleak days. And what's more beautiful than a parade of burgeoning blossoms lining a street. Good luck with this lovely entry.

Hello Mystery Writer,
Oh! Gorgeous!
I am not familiar with the Bradford Pear, but then again, I live in the heartland of cherry trees in northern Michigan. I can well appreciate the beauty of the Bradford Pear = stunning.
Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes!

Your blossom picture is breathtaking. I like how you mingle the seasons; they look like winter, but they are a sign of spring. Tree hugger; although I haven't hugged any trees, they do spring to life for me, and I love them.
Well done!

Why are they dangerous? I have never heard of these beautiful trees before and I am intrigued, your presentation champions these trees that look amazing, I would love to know what the down side is? Love Dolly x

Here is a taste of that 'danger', Dolly:

Being that ours are mature trees and we will be selling our house this summer, ours are staying. I will let the next owners contend with the beautiful danger... :) Thank you so much for the review!!

well, that's a lovely poem and a magnificent picture.
I was going to ask you what was so negative about the Bradford pear tree, but instead I looked it up and now I understand, however they are still lovely and I love seeing them and red buds growing in forests along highways - as well as in people's yards!
Good luck to you and I bet your driveway is beautiful!

A grand image for a very wonderful and unique poem. This is indeed super! A short but clear description of the cover image! Yes! Spring is here! Good-luck in the contest!

-Very nice image
and presentation.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-The syllable count is good,
and the poem reads like a haiku.
-The imagery creates a
vivid word picture of this
tree and its blooms.
-A very good satori at the end.
-Good luck in the contest.

What gorgeous trees. I like your use of alliteration in the poem and the imagery that shows winter's snow flowers signalling the arrival of warmer weather.
