Another great poem put out by you. I respect your work immensely. You are very gifted. Your thoughts seem so easily expressed and aren't overly complex, as some poems tend to be.

It's a bit sad, isn't it? All the work involved
in creating a work of art, and then it's quickly
judged, categorized and dismissed by so many.
I really liked this piece.

Hi, Alcreator, Very creative tanka. I don't know whether I like the message or the word-choice better in this one. Rich. Rich.
Loved: Wink colour, dark water words (excellent)
Great last line: Wise finds timeless art from raw.
Well, I paint raw, lol. Hope someone recognizes my genius. Actually, I'd rather see a "raw" painting than one which is totally technically correct.
Write on, Kay :)

Man, my brain is numb. I try so hard but if not for your notes I would have been lost. lol However, there were notes and then I really enjoyed putting the notes together with the poem. Thanks for the excerise. Missy01

I'm impressed with your ability to take an event to such poetic place. The wording was perfect and it flowed well. The appreciation of art is always of interest to me.

I really like "see art raw" "wink colour" "water words" "art from raw"
each in themselves were powerful images, likened to raw art it self

This one was kind of hard to understand for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
The third line really was the one that threw me.
I did love the idea behind the tanka; and your author's notes did help.
Good job.

I really like the thoughts you express here, or at least what I got out of it... Many don't look beyond to see what's really there. Great job on the imagery and flow. I really liked this!

I'm the one that is the fool I must confess. Some of these modern 'things' I reckon came from child care centre. But I know the 'wise' ones see art. Bit like the Emporer's New Clothes I think. (if you know that fable) However, I can see the art in this Tanka. Well done.

Well done; you communicate a lot with just a few short words. I see so much in this Tanka poem. As an artist (quilt maker, pencil drawing, mural painter, writer, etc), I can definitely relate to living in the moment with a piece of work--it's a wonderful feeling to get lost in creativity and have raw art emerge in its best form--this is when the best work is done. The feeling of a rush of inspiration and motivation is such a joyful one-it's what brings us to those moments of creativity. Thanks for sharing.
