Congrats on the win, Yvette! I actually voted for this one and yet wasn't a bit surprised to learn that it came from you. The photo you chose for this reminds me of sliding across the serene waters of an early morning lake. =)

Thanx so much, Rod -- the voting booths are always hit and miss... and it's usually just the opposite of what you predict - lol! ;) Take care! Yvette
** Please forgive my tardiness. I've been re-doing lesson plans and such and preparing to vid lectures/set up online discussion groups amid the weeks of school closing we are faced with. :) Thanx for understanding! ;)

I totally understand the busy "thang" - lol. I just sent you a late reply on a review due to my own business. =)

One unique sentence, eleven syllables, three lines required for a writing prompt entry, recognized by all the reviewers: a new contest winner! Chapeau Poetess! Your fame is moving up the steepy difficult stairs of the Parnasse altar... I am proud of having such an acquaintance like you! Bravo Yvette! Now their is the next steepy step to overcome.

Wow, Tony!! What an awesome review... and those stars will provide the only 'starshine' we'll have around here for the next four or so days!! So, thanx for those as well (wink, wink!)... ;) :) But I'm pretty sure I'm not even in the same school as the Parnassean poets and such -- I just play on here to forget about math for a while! ;) Thank you again and you take good care of you over there!! :) Yvette

It's Always a pleasure to hear and learn from you due to our different cultural linguist blind spots. Namaste Yvette . Tony

Not sure from your response but I hope I did not say anything to offend. If I did, I apologize. Have a wonderful day. ;)

I went to check my answer in which there is a mistake. It should be linguistic blind spot which means all the differences that can be explained easily if not coming directly in contact. Yvette, there is nothing wrong with none of what You said and nothing will ever Break our sincere friendship! Maybe You didn't accept Namaste? Or cultural blind spot.? A Great hug of friendship Yvette from Tony. Here we are really fighting against Coronavirus so Who knows what will happen.?

This 3-5-3, Serenity's Echo, has the proper formatting and touches on the paradox of ears filled with the sound of nothing happening.

A very well-written 3-5-3 poem about pure silence that can be seen and feel by its own unique sound surrounding the scene . A great choice of photo to complement your poem.

very good! and the perfect picture.
I love your poem, and it is lovely. However, I had to smile because when everything is finally quiet, that's when I notice the ringing in my ears. :)
I hate to admit that and I hope you're not so young you think, ewwww!
Anyway, good luck in the contest.

LOL!! Naaah... you know, my one in undergrad has 'ringing' and has for nearly two years now -- and yes we've been to multiple specialists and none can see any reason for it: there is no evidence that there is ringing in his ears - WHAT? How about the fact that he SAYS there is!! ;) :) Ugh! Thanx for the wonderful review, Lady K -- enjoy the day! ;) Yvette

it's you! well, you are a champion contest winner. Bravo.
strange that specialists don't know why your "undergrad" has the ringing.
I don't notice mine unless it's mentioned or I'm lying in bed. Then all the little "crickets" start chirping.

This poem carries a message that many readers unfortunately have not yet experienced. Eckhart Tolle would say it is when the mind is not chattering or at least we are not listening to it rant on about the past or future. This is a great topic to raise others' consciousness.

I enjoyed reading your 3-5-3 poem. I definitely agree with you. Sometimes noise can be so overwhelming that when it is silent, it is pure bliss. Thank you for sharing.

Ciao mystery poet, I gave you your 3 rd vote.
After a hectic day there is truly nothing more relaxing than pure silence ..
During the day we are bombarded by noises , which often produce headaches too...
there is nothing more relieving than not having to hear anything .. it's literally a heavenly state.
